September 24:

Added a delightful PH coincidence(thanks, Paul)

Yesterday's UCLA Procol Marathon broadcast was a triumph (thanks, Bob!) … fantastic to hear that music coming through the small speakers with such majesty and panache. Tomorrow BtP will feature excerpts from the continuity announcements and, of course, from the special Gary Brooker interview … in which Gary spoke of imminent negotiations with a company who are interested in putting out a NEW Procol Harum album: enjoy this mp3 as a taster (and have a look at similar previous news … somehow the omens look good this time).

'Caught us with our pants down, and we didn't even have any trousers, did we?'

Added the complete text of a revealing Brooker / Fisher interview, given last time Procol Harum played Norway (in May), in which the origins of the European Tour are discussed, and Gary gives his assessment of 'Beyond the Pale'.

BtP planned on showing a three-minute TV-Sør  videoclip today, containing an edited version of this interview and clips of Procol Harum on stage in Kristiansand. Owing to the heavy demand on Internet bandwidth after the horrible terrorist attacks in the USA, we have decided not to contribute to the traffic problem with large video files now. The video will be exhibited at BtP when Internet traffic is normalised.
