HELL: 'Let the good times roll!' sang Sheila Wilcoxson on Spinneriet last night. And in that way she started the good times for the blues people the whole weekend.
Deres siste studioalbum kom i -91.
They are setting a new record for the number of bands in this festival. Downtown Stjørdal was full of music and nightlife. At the Rica Hell Hotel Procol Harum started late in the evening, and we will publish a review in this Monday's newspaper. Gary Brooker, Matthew Fisher & co had a short and humour-filled meeting with the media after the soundcheck. The guys are back to basics with keyboards and Hammond B3 organ. 'No synths,' said Gary, in his humorous corner. Their last studio album came in '91. And the band's next recording will definitely not have any symphony orchestras like in their legendary album A Salty Dog. Hell was one of their first concerts for a long while.
We have big fans out there, sa Brooker. Det var allerede en fan under lydprøven. Mobilen spilte A whiter shade … På spørsmålet om motivet for frisk start, var svaret: Money and unemployment! (Brooker).
"We have big fans out there," said Brooker. There was a fan already there during the soundcheck. The mobile phone played A Whiter Shade... . When asked about their motives for starting up again, the answer was: "Money and unemployment!" (Brooker).
The band was in a joking mood, and I guess we were put to test in deciding how seriously the musicians were to be taken. Englishmen can be so ironic, just like people from Stjørdal and Ttrøndelag.
