What was new at 'Beyond the Pale'

Press the  P4 button and then the 'Middagskoncert' button. It is only in Danish, but it's still nice to hear Procol Harum music and people talking about the band and their fans (thanks Henrik).

There has been a major disk-crash on the server that hosts BtP. As you see the site is now restored, but problems remain on the admin side.
We have brought you today's daily dose of Procol data by 'flying blind' ... until we can see 'backstage' fully, updates may remain a bit patchy.

April 11:

Hotel booking for the Basecamp Copenhagen has got off to a pleasingly sprightly start; there will be very good Procoloid company there in August at the occasion of the Palers' Revels, and the huge Procol orchestral shows.

Do you need help to buy tickets for Procol's Castle Concerts at Lejre in August (quick, before they sell out!)?

BtP will assist. Send us the money using the pictorial 'Click to make your donation' button (above, right): pay with your PayPal account or credit card. Then send us a mail telling us your name, and how many tickets you need for each day.

BtP's Danish contact will then buy the tickets for you, and they will be available for collection at the Palers' Revels (in Lejre, where Ledreborg castle is) or at Palers' Basecamp Hotel before the concert(s). We'll send you an e-mail to confirm that the tickets have been purchased on your behalf. The price for each adult ticket (including PayPal fees etc) will be USD 54.

This method removes any difficulty for non-Danish speakers, and will even save you the postage costs ordinarily charged by billetnet.dk. (thanks, Thomas)

Jens is just back from Denmark where he visited the place where the Ledreborg concerts will be in August, the venue for the Palers' Revels, Base-Camp hotel and so on. We believe this has the potential to be the best Palers' event ever. Details will be posted at BtP in the coming days and weeks.

But the most important right now is this: the Ledreborg concerts are probably the most-hyped gigs in Denmark this year. Danish radio talks about them several times every day, and play a lot of Procol Harum music. The gigs are heavily advertised in newspapers and they also run it on TV. So like every year before: these gigs will sell out early.

So if you plan to go (and to the Palers' Revels too), you will need to book your Procol tickets without delay. More advice about this matter is here

April 3:

Added a page tracking changes (in part apparently due to Matthew Fisher) to an article that formerly mis-reported the earliest activities of Procol Harum (thanks, Barry)

April 2:

Added a pictorial page showing fans gathering before and after the Brooker-friends gig on 18 December 2005 (thanks, Axel)

April Fools' Day: Procol Harum play in eight weeks' time at New York City, USA;  twenty weeks until their two consecutive gigs at Joshua Tree, CA

We are happy to add 15 US dates for 2006 and 7 Scandinavian dates (thanks, Crisps)

Added a good label-scan of a much-sought-after stereo item, now offered for sale to the highest bidder (thanks, AF)

According to the list of Procol Harum concerts  in 2006, this year seems to be filled with festivals. Here is another one (thanks, Czyrrxkpp)
