A few days ago we announced that Classic FM would webcast a Gary Brooker interview. That didn't happen and Gene Godfrey from Classic FM wrote BtP to explain why and announce a retransmission. "I couldn't be more embarrassed. We got hit right between the eyes, and elsewhere tonight, with lightning. It was a bad one! Our webcast was down. I got back on in about an hour, but no webcast. I'm re-airing the interview next Friday That's Martin Barre's night but I'll air them both! (Aug.29th 6pm Eastern Time. Folks should be mindful of their timezones). Again, I apologise. Perhaps you can put up an explanation on the very front of the site so it will hit your visitors right away. Other than my site... folks can use www.wbzc.org to listen to the webcast Thx again: Gene Godfrey, Host/Producer of "Classic FM." |

US Dates postponed Procol Harum management writes to BtP: 'The huge demand for Procol Harum live shows this year to support the release of The Well's On Fire has resulted in a very demanding schedule for the year. 'The proposed shows for the October-to-December period have been judged by the band to be too physically demanding, and could run the risk of a tired band not doing its best for the fans or itself. 'As the US programme was not yet completed, it has been decided to move these shows to next year to ensure the band can perform at its usual high standard.' |

It's a standing joke with the BtP team , when we send out a newsletter, that the bigger the news, the smaller the feedback. For instance ... new Procol album and song-clips ... almost no response. Palers' Project CD ... a handful of responses. Palers' Festival in LA ... slight smattering of responses. So it was good to see this principle amply borne out yesterday when we accidentally sent out an empty test-message from the Fresh Fruit address ... response to the single word ''test', about 100 messages, including numerous well-wishings and congratulations on our work for Procol Harum. Thanks, all.
