Booking news:
Our second batch of top-price tickets for the Procol Harum 40th Anniversary Concert on
Friday 20 July
came and went; top-price seats are
now sold out. But there is a lot of
seating still available, at the cheaper price; tickets will be available when
public booking opens at the venue on 1 June.
Gary Brooker's "Procol Rarum" show on
Saturday 21 July is still booking: click
here to order.
Also:
We have received requests stating, 'I am not a Paler but I wish to buy tickets'.
We should clarify: 'Paler' is a strange word that has evolved over the years,
and all it means is, 'a fan of Procol Harum'. There is no club to join, nor
membership to pay: online booking for the 40th anniversary shows is open to
anyone who wants the tickets through this website (but see above). So if you want the best tickets
for Saturday's concert, before public booking opens, you are a
Paler by definition. It's that simple.

May 6:
Demand for the
Procol Harum 40th Anniversary Concert on
Friday 20 July and for the
'Procol
Rarum' show on Saturday 21 July has been pleasingly high. We need to
reserve more tickets at the venue, so we have suspended the bookings for a few
days. Do not worry: there are still seats available: but it's a public
holiday in the UK until 8 May so BtP's reserved block of seats cannot be
extended immediately. BtP booking for fans will be back when we have
secured a fresh block of tickets!

Steve Simels is a journalist who, in the 70s, always wrote interestingly and truthfully about Procol Harum ... see here, here, here, and here for example. Interesting to see that he is still posting in praise of the band, and specially of BJ Wilson, at PowerPop some three decades later (thanks, Whinbat)
