The Procol Harum Project

Denmark's Procol Tribute band

With great disappointment we learn today (18 September 2013) that this excellent band has split up.

Thanks, PHP, for being a shining beacon of authenticity and fine musicianship – and let's hope we haven't heard the last Procol Harum music from these excellent players.

Previously-announced gigs will not take place, but a one-off pairing with a couple of Italian enthusiasts will take place in May 2014

[L to R] Søren Borello piano / lead vocal; Ulrik Jørring bass, Søren Sadolin Hammond organ; Frederik Rostrup drums; Claus Veronese guitar

In May 2011 Poul Achton (drums) and Gunnar Midtiby (bass) left the band; but guitarist Claus Veronese has contributed the two other members of his trio – Ulrik Jørring (bass) and Frederik Rostrup (drums) – so the Procol Harum Project is going strong. Almost-new member Søren Sadolin is still at the Hammond of course.

The band plays again on Saturday 10 September, 8 pm, at a small brewery at Hundested Harbour:
