Frans Steensma writes to BtP with some fresh Rhythm Kings and Brooker news, and a setlist from their very recent Rotterdam show.
Good show, but nothing spectacular. Compared to the Paradiso one (Frank Mead: 'The best show we did on this European tour') it was rather tame.
Let The Good Times Roll
Walking One And Only
Jitterbug Boogie
Groovin'
Melody
Jump Jive And Wail
Motorvatin' Mama
Lead Me To The Water
I Put A Spell On You
Anyway The Wind Blows
I'm Ready
Let's Rock Some More
Mystery Train
Hit The Road Jack (long version, everybody took a
solo spot, except Bill)
Tear It Up
Encore:
Hey Little Boy
Little Queenie
Nearly the same set as in the
Paradiso, no AWSoP this time (Gary: 'It really was
spontaneous at the Paradiso. 'When I played the
first few bars everybody started to sing along. So I did the
whole thing' ). As usual Gary did most of the talking during the
show in which among other things he referred to their Dutch TV
appearance the night before at the Barend & Van Dorp talkshow.
