Frans Steensma writes to BtP with some fresh Rhythm Kings and Brooker news, and a setlist from their very recent Rotterdam show.

Good show, but nothing spectacular. Compared to the Paradiso one (Frank Mead: 'The best show we did on this European tour') it was rather tame.

Nearly the same set as in the Paradiso, no AWSoP this time (Gary: 'It really was spontaneous at the Paradiso. 'When I played the
first few bars everybody started to sing along. So I did the whole thing' ). As usual Gary did most of the talking during the show in which among other things he referred to their Dutch TV appearance the night before at the Barend & Van Dorp talkshow.

Some additional news:

• Graham Broad will be replaced by Henry Spinetti on the English leg of the tour because he has been invited by Roger Waters to be part of his new band (Waters starts a world tour in June). In addition to Graham, Andy Fairweather-Low and Snowy White will also join Roger Waters.
• There probably won't be a follow-up to The British Rock Symphony (Gary: 'My songs were the only ones that used the orchestra to good effect').
• No developments yet on the CD releases for Broken Barricades & Edmonton (Gary: 'I'm too busy touring').
• Starting July Gary begins seriously working on a project of his own (Gary: 'I really don't know whether it'll be a Procol or a solo thing').
