- Some additional Rhythm Kings news: On
the US version of the second album (Anyway The Wind
Blows (Velvel 63467-79768-2)) there are two bonus
tracks (Sugar Babe and Gonna Find Me A New Love).
Both must be pretty old recordings as Nicky Hopkins plays
piano, and he died 6 September 1994. You
can order this CD from Amazon
USA
- Out on Ripple Records (Wyman's own company): Live In
Europe by the Bootleg Kings (RIPCD 001). This CD (see
this page) features
nine tracks recorded in October 1998 by The Rhythm Kings
at various venues. Gary Brooker
can be heard on Let The Good Times Roll, Stagger
Lee, Rockin' Pneumonia & The Boogie Woogie Flu,
Hit The Road Jack / Fever, Land Of 1000
Dances / Tequila and Good Golly Miss Molly.
You can
order this CD from Shine On
- Out on 3 April: the single Groovin' (the Young
Rascals number) (RR 2104-3). On this CD single is one
track which isn't on the third Rhythm Kings album (Gambler's
Lament). You
can order this CD from Amazon
USA
- This third Rhythm Kings album (Groovin') will be
out on 15 May. Fourteen tracks, no compositions by Gary Brooker. He sings on two
tracks: Hole In The Wall and Daydream (the
Lovin' Spoonful number). I don't know what they did to
Gary's vocals on this second number, but he really sounds
different ...
- The best news for last. In the Official Rhythm Kings
programme it states in Gary
Brooker's biography: 'Gary is currently writing new
material for hopefully - a new album'. You
can pre-order this CD from Amazon
