You'd Better Wait

Brooker / Reid

Album: Salvo Something Magic Picture sleeve
  Cover-version: no

Words by
Keith Reid

Only one recording of this rare song is known ... from the end of Procol's Miami session from 1976.

It's possible that Gary Brooker repeated one verse by mistake, and that Keith Reid didn't in fact repeat himself in this way.

If a recording of the song's live performance (27 March 1976) ever turns up, we may be enlightened

They're waiting now to hear you
You hope they're going to clear you
They've got no cause to fear you
You know that they should cheer you

Say you don't invent it
Say that you've been sent it
You know that they resent it
You know you can't prevent it
You know you can't prevent it

They're waiting now to hear you
You hope they're going to clear you
They've got no cause to fear you
You know that they should cheer you

So you try to hide it
Scatter and deny it
[... unclear ...] they won't find it
Pray that they won't mind it
You pray that they won't mind it
