Hollywood Bowl

21 September 1973

Brooker, Cartwright, Copping, Grabham, Wilson
Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Isaiah Jackson
Roger Wagner Chorale

This is a conjectural running-order for the songs, based on the well-known King Biscuit recording, on audience tapes that have come to light, on analogy with the Rainbow Orchestral gig the year before, and on the evidence of Mick Grabham's photographs.

Whaling Stories
Broken Barricades
A Christmas Camel (revised version, + choral intro)
Piggy Pig Pig
Toujours l'Amour
Grand Hotel
Simple Sister
Fires (Which Burnt Brightly)
A Salty Dog
Conquistador
Bringing Home The Bacon
In Held 'Twas in I
A Souvenir of London
TV Ceasar + Rule Britannia

If anyone out there knows the real running order, would they please mail us?

This show is (legally!) listenable-to at Wolfgang's Vault (February 2007). Take the concert notes with a pinch or two of salt.

In Held ... is here counted as one track; Rule Britannia isn't counted at all. For a non-orchestral TVC + RB, see here

A stage pass, and an advert for the radio broadcast of the above concert. Below, CD artwork for the widely-available bootleg of this show, which contains some ludicrous misrepresentation of certain song-titles (thanks, Peter)
