'Living out of Time'

Please enjoy this montage of illustrations from the only Trower live DVD, which has been richly enjoyed chez BtP for the past week or so. Filmed at the Crossroads Festival in Germany, on 3 March 2005, the mood is terrific from the outset, when the audience at WDR Rockpalast celebrate Robin's sixtieth birthday (which fell six days later, in fact) with sparklers and song. There are cracking performances, good unfussy camera-work, and very good sound ... better than you get at a live gig since – let's face it – you can listen without earplugs! On bass, of course, is Dave Bronze, anchor-man of No Stiletto Shoes, and of Procol Harum at the era of their Utrecht live album. The bonus interview with RT is long and comprehensive, touching on the formation of the Paramounts, and the Procol Harum years ... though without mention, sadly, of the Fisher producer-ship of his earliest solo alborum.
