Procol Harum are set for a major British tour in March. The tour will take in 12 cities and coincide with the release of Procol's new album, Grand Hotel, on March 2.
Full dates for the tour are : York University March 3, Bristol Colston Hall 5, Portsmouth Guildhall 6, Birmingham Town Hall 7, Liverpool Mountford Hall 8, Lanchester Poly 9, Manchester University 10, Oxford Town Hall 12, Edinburgh Usher Hall 14, Glasgow City Hall 15, Newcastle City Hall 16, Leeds Town Hall 17.
Grand Hotel is Procol's follow-up to their best -selling gold album Live with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra . The album took six moths [sic] to record and cost over £25,000. It includes nine new Gary Brooker / Keith Reid compositions and will be released with a special 24-page illustrated booklet.
The album is the recording début of new guitarist Mick Grabham, who was originally with Cochise. Grabham joined the band last autumn, replacing Dave Ball.
