Mary's Miscellany (23)

Procol images from BtP and other sources, with new commentaries and captions by Mary Roussey

Don Snow – the last gig he played with Procol was on 5 July 1992 at the Tammisaari Guitar Festival in Finland.  Snow is a very diverse musician –
a vocalist, Hammond organist, pianist, guitarist, bass guitarist, drummer and saxophonist.

Is it true that the origin of the name Power Failure was from the show in Toronto when, during Whaling Stories,
the lights blew and BJ performed an incredible twenty-minute drum solo in the dark auditorium?

BJ – absolutely ingenious

Look how high BJ had to reach to get to his cymbals!

In 1969 Robin Trower offered Chris Copping a position with Procol Harum: he got the job without an audition

Dave Knights played on Procol's first three albums and was then replaced by Chris Copping

Exquisite vocals on visual display!

From the 'no-facial-hair' era. Which further means 'hot, but not as.'
But the ponytail and/or braid is awesome!

This photo immediately brings The Long Goodbye to mind
