'Too Many Poets'

Without a Snout (Porky Pork Pork)

Key to authors' pseudonyms

I'm going outside, it's time to eat,
Got an empty stomach, lined up a treat
It's cramming time 'til I'm fit to burst,
A stagnant pond to slake my thirst.
I'll roll along so overweight
I can't squeeze through the farmyard gate.

Just a meal is all I need,
Just a snort to sow the seed,
Just a trough to start me out
But nothing comes, without a snout

I'm going outside, for a real good snuffle.
Got it in my head, goin' to find a truffle.
With quality to grace the Hotel Grande,
For epicures throughout the land,
I've got a nose for the best there are,
Speciality grub, bought by the jar.

Just a sniff is all I need,
I'll root them out with lightning speed,
   They're all lurking underground,
I'll bring them up, by the pound.

I'm going outside to find some food,
Got an empty stomach, I'm really in the mood.
Now foot 'n mouth's at the farm next door,
Our time is up, they say that's the law.
They'll still want truffles on the a la carte,
Dear Ministry Man, don't break my heart

Just a meal is all I need
Just a snort to sow the seed
Just a trough to start me out,
But nothing comes, without a snout
