The band had dissolved
without any more plans

on some "doggie-doo"
But when you bite in it
you still taste the poop

I tried and I tried but
it still came out wrong

A possible problem
The absence of rhyme
If I were a lawyer
this would be a crime

The outcome was certain
The band had retired
They made their mistake
when Chris Thomas was fired

But Procol's not like a
dog in the manger
as evidenced by
The Prodigal Stranger
