'Too Many Poets'

Four Fingers (Hallux Hander)

Key to authors' pseudonyms

A table and chair
looked at me square
but I did not want to sit
As branches and limbs
tore straight thru the panes
followed by seven Great Danes

Was I spinning some yarn
that would lead to the barn
All I wanted was some booze
and some lace
And now I was looking for mace

Was I warped in a dream
that got stirred from some cream
Would a season to reason ever come
A view of myself
rather dumb

He said a line is all I'd need
and that the rest would come....
So as I paced
with thoughts of booze and lace
It began with four fingers minus a thumb!
