'Too Many Poets'

Highway to Nowhere (Georgia George)

Key to authors' pseudonyms

Seeking only caffeine,
at the café on the green.
While there I browse to my distraction,
pure fascination, quarry of information.
A nightingale sang in Indigo Square
on this highway to nowhere.

And the world looks rosy,
excepting this life of mine.

Princess seeks unique entertainment.
Some wicked joke I had been sent.
Composing my sweetest dreams in Roman,
sentiment and invitation for this woman,
I dream of surfing in Curacao,
As the liqueur bathes my torso.

And the world looks rosy,
excepting this life of mine.

On a rainy night in Tblisi,
my mind's in turmoil - thoughts not easy.
From the shadows I glimpse my princess.
A simple, lonely lady not a temptress.
In each other's arms we stay,
as the crowds drain away.

And the world looks rosy,
through these spectacles of mine
