Inside Domus Felix on Saturday 19 August 2006, Gary Brooker meets three
matching Procol fans: a scene
somehow
redolent of Hans Christian Andersen ...
Jens made a speech to congratulate Franky Brooker, who has a
significant birthday in
sight. Her present, this
magnificent cake, is pictured with its maker, Helle
Frandsen. Suitably parsed, it was devoured by all the revellers.
Procol Harum get up to play on the Palers' Band's equipment ... the same piano Gary has at home in his barn
Gary's piano technician, Johnny Magner, is ever vigilant, albeit outside the window
High spirits as Geoff and Matt let rip on Bringing Home the Bacon. On
this number an unseen Franky
also contributed motor-horn noises in one
of the momentary silences: hilarious timing!
Geoff gets to play the guitar, belonging to 'Shep', that was his standby instrument at the Castle Concerts
Sunday night's party: flowers from Procol for Henrik and Helle (One-Eye seems to be looking the wrong way)
Gary cuts the Blue Ribbon, to launch the Paramounts DVD
Father and son : Roland and Peter Clare playing In the Wee Small Hours
of
Sixpence, or else Matthew Fisher's excellent Give it a Try
