Aunt Maud 1948 – 1998

It is with the greatest sadness that Diane reports the sudden death from Multiple Sclerosis of her schoolfriend Barbara Butler née Robinson (Aunt Maud), whose photograph dated about 1972 features in her personal Procol history article in the Redhill Programme.

Maud bore many years of illness with tremendous courage, still enjoyed music, and took a great interest in all Gary's and Procol’s recent activities. Maud was supported admirably by her husband Julian and son Marcus, who have had a very difficult last few years.

AWSoP is often played at weddings, but this time it was a funeral. One good thing though, Diane was reunited after 22 years with their other schoolfriend, Jacky Fuller who also features in the article. Jacky’s promised she’ll be at Guildford on 18th December.
