Procol's Dave Bronze

On stage with Sir Tom Jones, August 2011

Chris Frances writes to 'Beyond the Pale' (August 2011): '... been on holiday for five weeks ... in our last week we travelled up to Gävle and Furuviksparken and caught Sir Tom Jones performing a superb set. Bassman looks like the chap who used to be in Procol Harum back in the Bronze Age ... and sometimes now can be found playing with No Stiletto Shoes and Band du Lac!'

A backing vocalist, a guitarist, Sir Tom on lead vocal, a drummer, Dave Bronze on bass, and a Hammond player

As above, to some extent, but with a different guitar

<

Sorry we don't know the personnel: please write in if you do! Sir Tom flanked by young women; Bronzie half so

Chris Frances writes again, with details of personnel: drums Gary Wallis (Pink Floyd's extra drummer / percussionist) who also played with DB together with Tim Renwick in Paul Carrack's band!); guitar, Jamie Moses; piano/guitar, Toby Chapman; Hammond, Christoph Papendieck; backing voices, Laura Critchley and Sophie Hiller; not sure about horn section. Only DB and Toby and the girls remain from the Tom Jones band that toured Praise and Blame last winter.

Judging by the band here (worth watching!) it's possibly Henry Collins, trumpet; Trevor Mires, trombone; Frank Walden, saxes.
