Matthew received a gold disc for playing A Whiter Shade of Pale on the Lanz album, Cristofori's Dream 1988 (Another link here)
Joan May writes: 'This is an instrumental AWSoP with guest Matthew Fisher playing his famous solo on his ethereal Hammond, and Lanz adding some nice piano counter-melodies. Fisher doesn't play throughout the entire piece, but where he does play is especially enjoyable. Matthew Fisher has also
contributed Hammond organ to two tracks (Conquistador and a Lanz composition) of Songs From An English Garden (1998), and three tracks (all Lanz compositions) of East of the Moon (2000). |
