Gary Brooker – charity gig – 21 June 2002

An evening of Beatles music

Gary Brooker will be appearing on Friday 21 June 2002 at 'Cowdray Concert', Cowdray House, Midhurst, West Sussex UK, in a charity fund-raising gig for White Lotus School, Ladakh and Tibet House Trust.

It's an evening of Beatles music performed by Gary, Dave Gilmour, Ringo Starr, Mike Rutherford (organiser), Roger Taylor, Lulu, Bob Geldof, Paul Carrack, Donovan, Kenny Jones, Damon Hill and other special guests, compèred by Chris Tarrant. Mike Sanchez and his band will also be appearing.

• The White Lotus School, Ladakh: high in the Himalayas and cut off by snow for much of the year, now in its second phase, it provides an education which encompasses their all-important culture, for the children of this remote area.
• The Tibet House Trust: its aims are to help in raising public awareness of the appalling oppression under which these gentle people of Tibet currently live, as well as providing for their basic needs.

Come early and enjoy a romantic picnic supper. Private individual marquees for 24, with garden, will be available. There will be self-catering tables for 12 in an open tent or if you don't want to think about it until the day, fish and chips, seafood and champagne will be available to anyone on the night.
