Charly Troksa informs us (14 April 1999) of the latest progress with Shine On – Best of the Whalers
Dear Whalers
I received so many good songs from all over the world that I'm
planning to produce a Double-CD with two songs from every joiner
of this project. This time I can say we are working with the
tapes and CDs to get them on HDD. And I must tell you it is a
work which brings my friend and me a very great pleasure. Never
thought that there would be so many FANTASTIC songs from all over
the world. But I wonder why there still is no song from China ...
!

Mirek Plodzik has asked 'Beyond the Pale' to publish this announcement to everybody who is interested in the Whalers' project to release a CD of music played and / or written by PH fans. The working title is Shine On – The Best of the Whalers: tracklist and how to order
Charly will be waiting 'till September / October. Then we will see how many songs we've got. If we will get enough numbers we start to produce CD. We don't know it will be double or single CD at this moment. It is depended of received tracks.
We can answer to every question in every moment!
Charly Troksa (who is also a Whaler, of course) informs BtP (14 July 1998) that Shine On – Best of the Whalers is coming along very well and adds, 'anyone who is interested in this project can write to me or send an e-mail or phone me (040 5321392)'. He also plans 'to make a booklet with photographs of every musician with some liner-notes about the person.' Tracklist and how to order
