Two Miniatures for Nany (Carmelo Hernandez) 7:32
Carmelo Hernández Ramos worked in the 80s' music scene in his native Spain, as half of 'Muzak', a techno-pop combo.
Four records on, he quit the disco world for his present 'minimalismo', featuring a single piano with ambient elements.
Two Miniatures For Nany, as presented here, really has three sections: the opening piece approaches the I'm So Glad riff via the aesthetic of Procol's '… little melodic treasures strategically hidden in the centre of songs such as A Salty Dog or All This and More …' and the second, stormier episode was initially devised as a finger-exercise for advanced pianists.
Third comes a crepuscular track originally titled Water Games, conceived as the background music for a Grand Hotel somewhere.
