Conquistador (Brooker-Reid), : In Held 'Twas In I (Brooker-Fisher-Reid )
| Hans Peter Nadler, born 1960, has been a Harum fan since 1974: he teaches the piano in a music school at Uzwill, Switzerland, where these two numbers were recorded during a June 1996 concert. Hans Peter made his own arrangements from the original albums, scoring the parts to suit the abilities of musicians aged between 8 and 16 years. Those of us involved in education, and in amateur music-making in general, will find much to admire in a children's orchestra tackling such ambitious music, and the inclusion of these two charming tracks is a stroke of genius that throws us right back into the glorious innocence of early Procoldom. Playing this material live will have done wonders for these young musicians, and I defy any listener to remain unmoved by their Grand Finale! | |
