'Again, sorry for my English …' writes Aurélio F. Migueis to BtP. And although his English is not fault-free, it is so expressive, and the sense so clear, that we reproduce it verbatim here.
'… I be happy of a your atemption, it's a big pleasure colabored at yours, send utilities informations for web page. According to solicitation, I send a lyrics in Portuguese versions. First, "White Shade of Pale", but "Warning": that's version is a free version, not is a adaptation of original lyrics in English, it's a "non sense" version, nothing have "refined lirism", no respect the original theme, speaks of other choises, it's a romantical lyric.
'That's version, in my opinion of a Procol's fan, is a big big shit. I will send together a Portuguese lyrics, a version in English to give a real idea of "crime".'
Ao Meu Lado Outra Vez |
At My Side Again |
Caminhos tem o céu |
Paths has the sky |
Mistérios tem o mar |
Mysteries has the sea |
E a sombra do desejo |
And the shadow of the desire |
Que vem me assediar |
That comes to surround me |
Flores que se mexem com o vento noturnal |
Flowers that move with the night wind |
Exalando seus perfumes |
Spreading their smellings |
Num prelúdio sem final |
In an no ending prelude |
Entre meus sonhos te vejo |
Among my dreams I see you |
Ao meu lado outra vez |
At my side again |
Com teu rosto tão sereno |
With your face so sweet |
Me amando, sem talvez |
Loving me, without perhaps |
Estrelas que se apagam |
Stars that aren't shining |
Amores que se vão |
Loves that are gone |
Pensamentos que divagam |
Thoughts that wander |
Sempre com o mesmo refrão |
Always with the same choir |
Soando em meus ouvidos |
Sounding in my ears |
Com a foça da obsessão |
With an obssession force |
E chorando como um orgão |
And crying like an organ |
Está meu coração |
Is my heart |
