Barrie Wilson on DVD with Joe Cocker's band

'Cry Me A River' • The Rockpalast Collection

Charlie Allison writes to BtP with these BJ Wilson screenshots from the freshly-released Joe Cocker Cry me a River, which makes excellent viewing

This excellent DVD is on Eagle Vision. The tracklisting includes Cry me a River, I Can't Say No, Feeling Alright,
Look What You've Done
, Put Out The Light, A Whiter Shade of Pale, Delta Lady, So Blue, Fun Time, Just Like Always,
The Jealous Kind
, Hitchcock Railway, Watching the River Flow, Sweet Forgiveness, You Are So Beautiful, With A Little Help From My Friends,
Wasted Years
, I Heard It Through The Grapevine, The Letter,
High Time We Went.

BJ's playing is excellent as always, and though he isn't seen in full shot very frequently, you do get plenty of good glimpses of him

The concert was filmed on Hallowe'en 1980 at the Metropol, Berlin

Also in this shot, excellent guitarist Cliff Goodwin, who wrote so warmly about BJ elsewhere on this website

Head down in characteristic fashion

And the well-known jazz grip in the left hand

There are bonus tracks on the DVD too: A Girl Like You, Innercity Blues, Don't Talk to Me, Many Rivers to Cross,
Threw it Away
, Seven Days, You Are so Beautiful, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress: these were filmed
at the open-air Loreley Festival, again in Germany, on 20 August 1983
