In 1977 I bought a bootleg LP (Five
and Dime?) that had a loose, cheap Xerox-type copy for a
'cover' ... so I started to draw my own cover on the blank white
cardboard! This wasn't the smartest move I ever made, obviously.
Anyway, the drawing grew and grew ... and still, it did grow (wait
a minute, that's The Worm And The Tree ... ) - anyway, I
eventually included most of the key players in the (then) ten-year
history of the band.

So, officially ... the drawing was complete in 1999. I call it 'The Golden Decade' and recently put it on a T-shirt and gave it to Gary at the All-Starr gig in Westbury to replace the one that I gave him in 1995. I guess I'd call it a T-shirt upgrade. Totally Y2K compliant.
