Ah, a mystery! While looking over some of my concert shots I came across this image of Bronze, Brooker, Fisher and Renwick (see below) from the curtain call at Town Hall in New York City, 26 Sept. 1991. Some of you old-timers might notice that it was from this larger image that I extracted the 'partners in crime' photo of Gary and Matthew (see right). One of the reasons that I didn't feel that the group shot - shown in full below - had as much impact as our two Prodigal Strangers did alone (right), was that this was a very temporary incarnation of the band - not to mention the fact that a young lady seemed to pop up out of nowhere and join the boys for their final bow! OK ... a decade or so later - who is the woman?! Are you out there reading this? ... Maybe was she some Paler-date? Or Paler wife? ... or something more exotic? |

Carol Fisher writes to BtP:
Regarding the mysterious lady at the Town Hall gig, I also remember her appearance onstage at the curtain call (I have no idea know who she was). Just as the lads returned to the stage for an encore she jumped onstage and hugged and kissed each of the Procolers in turn (before resuming her place standing in the front row). During the encore she stood in the front row with a euphoric smile (and brushing her hair)! It was a pretty unforgettable moment! I was talking to Maf about the incident and asked him if he remembered it ... he did! Thanks, Carol
