Michael Ackermann (pictured below) writes to BtP: 'Read about the German Tour of the Gathering in BtP and as Essen isn't far away, I made my way to Zeche Carl (old coal mine, pictured left) yesterday to see "our" bass player in a different line up. I think Ray Jackson from Newcastle felt like home in the setting of the old coal mine. I found the jingle from Newcastle Brown Ale they sang very amusing. The line up was Ray Jackson, Doug Morter, Jerry and Kristina Donahue, Paul Burgess and of course Matt. Matt was in Top-Form! The audience was very happy with the concert and some danced to Irish tunes. Beautiful Lady (bottom left) is Kristina Donahue!' | ||
