Sunday 20 August, at Ledreborg again
Not such a bright day as the Saturday, but still warm and dry
The second public party of the Palers' Revels: Ian on piano, Richard guitar, Hans singing, One-Eye on the vocal bassline, 'Shep' on bass
The song of course is Nothing But the Truth
One-Eye sings his signature song, One-Eye on the Future
... premièred in this century by the Palers' Band
in Manchester (2001), reprised in Hollywood (2003) and finally entering the
Procol repertoire in 2006!
Despite urging his fellow band-members to smile, Roland looks
pretty studious in this shot. Maybe it's because
the song's ended up in a crippling B major and he insists on playing lots of
rapid scalar passages
One-Eye also sings Quite Rightly So, albeit not in the arrangement he employed on Lost in the Looking-Glass. Unusually Larry Pennisi at the piano
George Lovell is back in the spotlight with Something
Following Me
'A slab of engraved marble ...'. Roland on piano, 'Shep' on guitar, Richard on the bass
