Procol Prize Competition : the winners!

Prize competition: we asked you to identify the owner of these eyes, and send us an e-mail containing his or her date of birth. Predictably, many answers didn't contain a date of birth, and quite a few of those that did specified it incorrectly: this was a great help to us in narrowing the field, and we also weeded out suggestions that it was Keith Reid, Geoff Whitehorn, or Matthew Fisher; furthermore, people who sent multiple entries were disqualified, as were those who didn't specify a prize order. 

Thanks to all who played; the correct answer was 29 May 1945, and the eyes belong to Gary Brooker. To see the photograph, taken by Geoff Whitehorn, of Brooker as Poseidon, click above. Correct entries were placed in the BtP Homburg, and the names of winners were withdrawn by a suitably glamorous assistant (thanks, Becky).
