In December 1998 Westside informed 'Beyond the Pale' that Procol Harum was the best-selling band on their roster. Sales of the Triple Anniversary Anthology (which was expected to sell about 5,000) have now topped 20,000, and it has been re-pressed twice; sales for both the albums in the ... Plus! series hover at about 5,000 apiece 'cock-ups notwithstanding' as Westside's genial Tony Rounce put it.
A Salty Dog ... plus! and Home ... plus! are scheduled for release in 1999 and will contain more various variant takes than the SOB+ selection. We may also look forward to a three- or even four-CD boxed set of Procol Harum's BBC sessions before the end of 1999.
