New CD from Brooker / Wilson / Trower / Copping
We are delighted to announce that the first legitimate pressing of the Liquorice John Death and the All Stars sessions is now (un)available on CD via Shine On.
These sessions were recorded in 1970 when Procol Harum had an all ex-Paramounts line-up of Gary, Robin Trower, Chris Copping and Barrie Wilson.
Gary has recently been into a London studio with Chris Thomas, the original Producer, to tidy the tracks up a bit.
Chris Thomas has kindly written the liner notes giving his recollections of the sessions and the 'mood of the time'. Gary has also written some very interesting sleeve-notes about the up-until-now mysterious Dave Mundy.
The original artwork was by Dave Mundy. It has been in Robin Trower's possession for many years, but Robin has kindly loaned it to us and Shine On's wonderful graphic designer Christine Ayre has tidied it up.
To order this very exclusive CD one had to write to
John Grayson, 56 Brecknock Road, London N7 0DD, UK (no longer applicable)
enclosing a cheque or International Money Order in pounds sterling for £12.00
+ £1.00 postage and packing for Europe
+ £2 postage and packing in the rest of the world.
