Omit spaces (and punctuation!) from the five-word title of this unruly little early PH ditty: the resulting letter-string reveals the scarcely-relevant words ‘waste’ and ‘meat’.

A twenty-first century Procol Harum studio-recorded track whose classic melody was originally sung in the Italian language, and not by Gary Brooker, nor by any other member of the band.

14 x a

The letter-pairs started in positions 6, 9 and 14 in each song-title, and were therefore do, wi, av, ea, im, th, wt, av, er

The one letter-pair that appears twice is 'av'

So your twlve letter-pairs were he, nd, ke da, rl, in, gs, et, wo, be, th, av ... which were easily re-arranged to make 'save the world and be the king'. The answer to send to 'Beyond the Pale, however,  was the last three words of the line before that ... 'hard to win'. Everyone who responded got the correct answer, so obviously it wasn't really 'hard to win' at all.

Sadly there could be only twelve winners: read their names and their trophies here
