Christmas Quizzes 2015

Question of the Day : 27 December

Third piece of the Puzzle (good luck, and do think straight!)

Many tracks on Procol's third studio album, A Salty Dog, open with sounds that had not started any of their earlier songs.
Which song starts and ends with an identical sound, one they never used again in the studio?

Which of these three 'focus-group' responses is nearest to the truth? Make a note of the red number so you can find the answer again easily at the end.

031
Easy one; pretty obviously you get that solo acoustic guitar only on Too Much Between Us

032
Difficult one; I reckon A Salty Dog must be the song you're referring to

033
Long Gone Geek
... what a classic belter. Why wasn't it on the album?

Resources: search 'Beyond the Pale' by clicking here and (without deleting  'site:procolharum.com') typing 'Geek', or better still, play the album making notes as you go ...
