I watched Grand Hotel featuring John and Lionel
Barrymore, Greta Garbo, and Joan Crawford and I synchronised Grand
Hotel the film with Grand Hotel the album by Procol
Harum.
Unlike the Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon to The
Wizard of Oz, I didn't play the album by track 1--9, instead I used the DVD
tracks to use for the film, so some scenes don't have the songs at all.
When you turn on the DVD Grand Hotel, have the intro play by
itself until Track 2 of the DVD. Now, put the CD of Grand Hotel to
Track 6 Bringing Home the Bacon. If it overlaps, that's okay ... this
isn't 100% perfect. After Bringing Home The Bacon, pause the CD until
you go to Track 5 of the DVD. Play Track 2 of the CD, Toujours L'Amour,
and after the song's over, pause the CD until Track 7 of the DVD and play Track
8 of the CD Fires (Which Burnt Brightly).
Next, pause the CD when Fires ends and let the
movie play until Track 10, then play Track 5 of the CD which is A Souvenir
of London and once the song ends, pause CD and let the DVD play until Track
13, then play Track 3 of the CD called A Rum Tale. Next, pause CD when
A Rum Tale is done until Track 15 of the DVD and play the CD on Track 7
For Liquorice John and once the song's over pause CD and let the DVD
play until Track 18 and that's where you'll play the first track on the CD
Grand Hotel. Once Grand Hotel (the song) ends, pause the CD
until Track 24 of the DVD and play Track 4 TV Ceasar and once TV
Ceasar ends on the CD, pause the CD and let the DVD play until Track 30;
then play the last track on the CD, Robert's Box. Once Lewis
Stone's character Doctor Otternschlag says "Grand Hotel, people come and go,
nothing ever happens", mute the movie and let the climax of Robert's
Box play.
I had some good choreography with Grand Hotel CD
and DVD with Grusinska Emerges (DVD-Track 7) and Fires (Which Burnt
Brightly)", Thief in the Night (DVD-Track 10) with Souvenir of
London, Drunken Return (DVD-Track 13) with A Rum Tale,
and The Baron Has Gone (DVD-Track 30) with Robert's
Box.
