The nice people at Salvo Records sent BtP this excellent album to give away. As with all BtP's competitions, you simply had to read and enact a simple instructions, and send us a message ... and this handsome recording could have been be yours! You had to click on the image to see what tracks are on the album ... that's the info you needed ... but the contest is now closed.
As is our wont, we're asking you to listen carefully to some music (of course, the real album sounds much better than our compressed mp3 that follows) Click here to listen to an mp3 medley of the songs on the album (left). You'll hear that some tracks get a long excerpt, some a very short one. But one song is not heard at all ... and the name of that song is what you need to send us. Click here to send us the title of the missing song from our medley representing this Salvo re-issue album. The competition ended at 23:59 GMT on Wednesday 20 May 2009. If your answer is correct we'll put your name in a hat, and conduct the draw during Thursday 21 May. The first name out of the hat wins A Salty Dog with all those juicy bonus tracks! Good luck! |

The result
Thanks to everyone who submitted answers. There were some curious suggestions,
but by and large people sent Wreck of the Hesperus, which was indeed the
missing track.
What you heard was clips from Boredom, Also Sprach Zarathustra, The Devil Came from Kansas, The Milk of Human Kindness (bonus), Too Much Between Us, A Salty Dog, Crucifiction Lane, Crucifiction Lane (live), All This and More, Pilgrim's Progress, Long Gone Geek, Juicy John Pink (live), The Milk of Human Kindness, Juicy John Pink, Going Down Slow.
The names were put into the BtP Homburg at teatime on 21 May 2009 (no glamorous assistant picture but thanks, Lola, anyway)
The lucky winner was William Bush from Australia, in the Southern hemisphere: the Salvo CD will be on its way to you as soon as you send us your 'real' world address.
If you sent in the right answer, but your name stayed in the BtP Homburg, commiserations: click here!
