'P.H.'

A Procol tribute • Kurt Vejlgaard

Click here to enjoy a recent tribute to Procol Harum, by a fan from Copenhagen

I heard it on the radio, forty years ago
Don’t remember the circumstances, in a kind of show?
Grand Hotel and Salty Dog – two of forty hits or more
Fantastic sound of music, never heard before.

I was in my mid-twenties, when I heard the P.H. band
First-class classical music, nothing like second hand
Homburg and Conquistador, two of forty hits or more
Fantastic sound of music, never heard before.

People of all ages have enjoyed the sound
P.H. band really nailed it – down to the ground.

A Whiter Shade of Pale, the classical number one
Recorded in sixty-seven, since then time has gone
Shine on Brightly, Simple Sister – two of forty hits or more
Fantastic sound of music, never heard before.

People of all ages have enjoyed the sound
P.H. band really nailed it – down to the ground.

Still the music’s playing inside my head
From early morn’ until I go to bed
Nowadays the music still is great
Release an album please. I cannot wait.

I’m from Denmark and live in Copenhagen. I’m 65 and retired. I’ve played music (piano/keyboard) and composed music since I was a young boy. A few years ago I started recording my own music on Cubase. I played all instruments on keyboards except the drums (EZdrummer). All my songs are available on Soundcloud. Have been a fan of PH since I was young. After forty years of listening to PH-music it was finally time to make my tribute to Procol.

Thanks, Kurt
