Journey's End

Contemporary album review

Matthew Fisher – Journey’s End (RCA)

After having played with Procol Harum for three years and producing their third and best album A Salty Dog, this solo effort for Matthew Fisher is quite a disappointment.

I found this record a chore to listen to.  Because of this, I’m afraid I find nothing much to say about it.  Stick to playing and producing, Matthew, you’re much, much better at that.

Ken Stasion, who sent this clipping in to BtP, adds:
'
Yes, I found Matthew in this vulgar and disgusting naughty book!  I found each page to be more shocking and naughty with each turn. Oh the humanity!  The magazine dates to February 1974.  Of course I disagree with the reviewer's opinion.  The first Maff solo LP is one of my faves. Well, who knows where Maf will turn up next?'

(thanks, Jill, for the typing!)
