Fabric patch, based on the A Salty Dog album cover artwork by Dickinson, depicting drummer BJ Wilson as the 'Hero'. The surrounding text, 'Whaling Stories', is the name of the Gary Brooker Fanclub in Germany, run by Michael Ackermann, who caused these patches to be made on antique weaving machines in Wuppertal.
The
patches – sent by Michael to Gary Brooker – are depicted with a ruler to
confirm that their width is about three inches. One is turned to shew
the weaving on the back. The patches are ready to sew on to your jeans,
hat, work shirt, or any other flexible surface. Or they can be glued to
