'Beyond the Pale' has recently revealed its exclusive line of special tee-shirts, de rigueur for the hardcore fan attending the Croydon concert on 25 May; and our chums at Shine On will be unveiling the all-new colour Procol 2002 tee-shirt at Newcastle on 24 May. Both these items will also be available at the Palers' Fair of course.

But what other garments – their design independent of particular dates or events – would suit the committed Procoholic in daily life?

Paler davelee writes, in appropriately whimsical vein, to BtP (May 2002):

"Sad really.

"I am wearing my new Brooker jeans (yes, there is a brand of jeans called "Brooker")

"And our star centre-forward at Port Vale FC is a guy called Stephen Brooker … the Vale shirts are pretty expensive (about £35 - £40)

"Steve Brooker scored the winning goal at the LDV Cup final at Millennium Stadium last year: amusing to see supporters going round Stoke with Vale shirts with the name BROOKER in big letter on their backs …

"It's a Brooker world!"
