'The Beatles and English pop group Procol Harum can be seen in separate programs on ABC–TV on Saturday evening. The entire Ed Sullivan show on Saturday February 27, at 7.30 pm, is devoted to music by the Beatles. The Beatles sing The Two of Us [sic], Yesterday and Let it Be.
'Dionne Warwick, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Peggy Lee, Duke Ellington and his orchestra, dancer and choreographer Peter Gennaro, Sesame Street's The Muppets and Edward Villella present other Beatles songs.
'Peggy Lee sings Something and Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Peter Gennaro portrays Sgt Pepper. Duke Ellington and his orchestra create a jazz concerto based on Beatles songs, and Edward Villella dances to Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.
'Procol Harum, best known for their world-wide smash hit of 1967, A Whiter Shade of Pale, are the stars of a 55-minute special on Saturday, February 27, at 6 pm.'

The group's leader, Gary Brooker, comments throughout. |
