The venue was the Deer Creek Music Centre which has since been renamed the Verizon Wireless Music Centre, located in Noblesville, Indiana, just north of Indianapolis. I have a ticket stub from the event, but it only names Jethro Tull. (thanks, Bob)

"The local reviewer gave Procol 3 stars for their Indiana performance and lauded them for allotting half of their show to new material. If you do the math, this doesn't work out. I believe he mistook As Strong As Samson for a new number since it was performed in an uptempo style very different from the album version. This was a personal victory of sorts for me; I had contacted this reviewer prior to the show, hoping to write a freelance feature on Procol, with the hook being that it was their first appearance ever (to the best of my knowledge) in the Indianapolis area. However, because of the defensiveness of the reviewer, I wasn't given the chance to explain this. What he said was, "I think I can handle Procol Harum." (Heavy verbal irony) Apparently, he thought I wanted to get into some kind of pissing contest with him regarding a review, which was not the case! His mistake was a small one, but I loved the fact that he screwed up anyway."
