For sale – from The Commander's own wardrobe

This unusual, two-tone tee-shirt has longer
sleeves than most – they're about three-quarter length. It has a distinctive
styled curve to the lower hem.
Around the chest it's about 38 inches.
Thanks to the vigilance and good memory of fellow fans, we understand that it
was
screen-printed as a present for Procol Harum in the mid-1970s
by Doreen Jones, and presented to the band backstage in (probably) Philadelphia.
'I supplied the baseball jerseys,'
writes Corey Chaskelberg. Good to know these things!
Despite its long history it is in very good
condition. Gary Brooker wore it, but it has spent
a good forty years in the safety of his wardrobe, and he now wants it to go to a
fan who will enjoy wearing it (or perhaps exhibiting it in a frame).
The design derives from Procol's first album,
the simplified image based on the illustration by Keith Reid's girlfriend,
Dickinson, with its characteristic lettering above.
Proceeds of the sale will be split between the BJ Wilson Fund and 'Beyond the
Pale'
