to Per Hermansen, who
writes: '"I was working as a sales manager for BMG
Norway when The Prodigal Stranger was released.
As a long-time fan of Procol Harum this was my chance to
finally meet my heroes and so I did on the 1st of
february 1992. Above is a scan of the advertisement for the concert (still with Robin Trower), although we knew that he was replaced by Whitehorn. Maybe the concert promoter tried to fool us. I was of course seated on the front row, on the left side, right in front of Mr Brooker. There were shivers down my spine when the band entered the stage. It was 15 years since I last saw the band live on stage (Skien, Norway 1977) and they were looking great. I had a great time backstage after the concert. Gary was very surprised when I told him that I was in a band who performed In Held 'Twas In I in 1985 in my hometown Kongsberg (Norway). We did this together with a local symphony orchestra and a choir. (We also played Pilgrim's Progress)" |
