Procol Harum in 1975 on Top of the Pops (2)
Alan Cartwright is not using a pick as he usually did with Procol Harum live. But this is live, though most people mimed on this show. BJ is usually the one who give sit away since he can't seem to copy what he'd played on a recorded version. But here his beats and hand moves are just too tight. Also the mouthing of the words is too tight. Hand fingerings on organ solos match perfectly. Transitions to chords match down to pinky slides . Brooker's voice perfectly matches his mouth even when he stumbles on a word or two. This is definitely not the usual for these kinds of shows.
The ToTP cameraperson didn't give a lot of screen time to BJ
This may look like a lot of pictures
But if you look at the time-code
You’ll see they’re only a few nano-seconds apart
Or so
Thanks to Larry Pennisi, Marvin Chassman, Ted McCallion
