Procol Harum in 1972 on Japanese television (1)
Osaka 1972
Procol played a double headline bill with Ten Years After. Dave Ball
recalled that the band was particularly toxified that evening having started a
bit
of drinking about 5 in the afternoon when recommended to try some exotic new
concoction. He reports that the group was a bit more lubricated than usual.
Nonetheless, the show is one of the better documents of that period. The
video document omits the opener, Shine on Brightly, though audio-only
versions of this show do include that as well with particularly fine organ from
Chris Copping who was implementing his Arp Pro Soloist synthesiser as well.
Not all our readers will be able to understand all the titling, but this one is clear enough
GB looking a bit frizzy

Long-shot of piano, drums and organ
Mobil indeed. Note tiny setlist propped on the organ
Chris Copping in dynamic mode, albeit a trifle over-yellow
Les Paul, unusual sunburst effect!
