Another magnificent stately home

Sam Cameron writes to BtP:
Gary seemed to be on a real piano on this occasion: the box on the top is for amplification purposes. A woman with long hair was doing a real heavy rock leaping about thing on it most of the time. Geoff kept changing from green to black guitars ... maybe he just did anyway, but I always suspect any rock video of being full of drop-ins and more nights than the one it says. He seemed to get only one big big solo in the whole film.

Nice to see Gary playing a real piano!

The Brooker visage superimposed on the stately setting, thanks to the vision mixers at the UK's Yorkshire TV, who broadcast this show in January 2002

During A Whiter Shade of Pale Geoff doesn't seem to play much, but Simon Townsend sings enthusiastically off mike; Gary unusually sings the phrase 'whiter shade of pale' (no 'a') in soul-man style over the play-out. Needless to say the AWSoP arrangement was nowhere near as good as Mathias Weisz's.

It's a very well-made film both in terms of sound and visual mix; some dire crap on it though. Gary throws something very small into the crowd when he waves goodbye: of the magnitude of a 50p or a piece of chalk.
