Nice to see Gary playing a real piano! |

The Brooker visage superimposed on the stately setting, thanks to the vision mixers at the UK's Yorkshire TV, who broadcast this show in January 2002 |

During A Whiter Shade of Pale Geoff doesn't seem to play much, but Simon Townsend sings enthusiastically off mike; Gary unusually sings the phrase 'whiter shade of pale' (no 'a') in soul-man style over the play-out. Needless to say the AWSoP arrangement was nowhere near as good as Mathias Weisz's. It's a very well-made film both in terms of sound and visual mix; some dire crap on it though. Gary throws something very small into the crowd when he waves goodbye: of the magnitude of a 50p or a piece of chalk. |
