Thorsten Knublauch kindly sent BtP these three souvenirs of Nürnberg, where Procol Harum played with the Bee Gees on 3 March 1968. |

The ticket and the news cutting both show the name of Procol Harum quite clearly; the page from the tour programme lists Bee Gees songs on the left of the cutlery and the Procol repertoire on the right. Could this conceivably be the running order of the show? It's interesting that every song from the first album, and the first two singles, is on the list ... with the exception of Lime Street Blues. Yet none of the songs that existed, but hadn't been released - Alpha, In the Wee Small Hours of Sixpence, Shine on Brightly, for example - is mentioned. The page has been autographed by Brooker, Fisher, Wilson and Knights ... no sign of Reid or Trower on this particular specimen: they must have had something else on their plate. |
